We are very selective with our education solutions and evaluate all equipment before recommending a device for student or teacher usage. There is a very wide choice of devices that can be purchased for use in an education environment and we do caution parents and/or students to be wary of selecting devices that are manufactured for consumer usage. These devices often lack the robustness that is required for in schools or colleges, as they are not built not built to withstand the constant opening and closing; being lifted in and out of carry bags and being regularly subjected to unintentional bumps.
Consequently, Aliva only recommends notebook and tablet solutions that have suitable, sturdy hinges, bump resistant screens, protective cases etc etc. In addition, our Repair Centre Manager ensures that spare parts are readily available for any device that our education team recommends.
Meeting the Challenges
Aliva also offers a number of warranty options. We recommend that devices be covered by a thirty six (36) month warranty. You can select a Return to Base (RTB) warranty where the device can be repaired at our Milton Repair Centre, or a Next Business Day (NBD) warranty where the device can be repaired at the school’s site.
